The village is situated at the top of the Aleyrac Pass (481m). It can be reached either by taking the D9 road from Salles-sous-Bois ou  La Bégude-de-Mazenc, or the D809 road from Tauligan. It is linked to Dieulefit by the mountain ridge separating the Jabron Valley (Montelimar side) to the Berre Bassin (Tricastin side). This area, by its double exposure, has seen the development of a specific eco-system with a varied flora.
Scattered settlements have at their heart the Town Hall and Chapel of Saint Francis of Sales.
Here are several farms devoted to cattle, goats, lavender growing and truffle cultivation…
