The exhibition offers a sensory and poetic exploration of hidden ecosystems, revealing the mysteries buried in the limestone depths, on the forest floor and even in the light-bathed treetops.
The journey begins beneath the surface, in the little-known world of subterranean ecosystems. Here, the parent rock gives rise to the soils that support forest life. This first stage plunges you into the secret of root networks and plant connections that escape our eyes. The rustle of life, imperceptible movements and fascinating processes are revealed, revealing the unsuspected richness of the Provençal Baronnies.
As you go back to the surface, you'll discover a universe within reach of your senses. Every blade of moss, every fragment of bark conceals teeming ecosystems. You'll hear the murmur of rivers and trees, witness the dance of insects and explore the footprints left by the forest's discreet inhabitants: genets, badgers and stealthy snakes. You'll also discover the history of the invisible links between man and forest, woven over the centuries through respectful management of this fragile ecosystem.
The climb ends in the canopy, where another part of forest life is played out. Up there, the trees breathe, sculpting the atmosphere, while the inhabitants of the treetops - birds, insects and other guardians of life - interact in a delicate ballet. These suspended worlds illustrate the resilience of our forests, but also their fragility in the face of climate upheaval.
