Fiuminale, the duo of Maxime Merlandi and Jean Philippe Guissani, brings together traditional, sacred and creative songs from their musical journey with Barbara Furtuna. They celebrate in music their friendship of over 40 years, telling the story of Corsica far from clichés.
Description
With more than 1000 concerts around the world, the Barbara Furtuna ensemble has become, in its 15 years of existence, a staple on the vocal scene.
The quartet remains faithful to the spirit of Corsican song while revisiting it with original compositions.
The group has never been locked into a single register and has participated in many projects with artists from various backgrounds such as the baroque ensemble l'Arpeggiata, the ancient music of Constantinople, the tenors Plàcido Domingo and Roberto Alagna or more recently the Belgian musicians from Belem.
