Description
Visit the palace of the Count of Grignan, governor of the Sun King in Provence, and his wife Françoise, daughter of the Marquise de Sévigné and the most beautiful girl in France. The Marquise stayed at the château for long periods and wrote hundreds of letters to her beloved daughter, which made her immensely famous. The monument, rich in 1,000 years of history, offers a breathtaking view of Provence, Mont Ventoux, the lavender fields and Grignan, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
In 2026, immerse yourself in a century of legend with the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Marquise's birth and the inauguration of the second floor of the château, which has been completely renovated and dedicated to the 17th century.
